Pet Portraits PDF Print E-mail

A portrait of your pet is a treasured piece of art that will last a lifetime.  Capturing the personality and life of your beloved pet is essential to creating a true artful representation of your pet.  Before work begins on a commissioned piece of art, Melanie first requests several pictures of your pet in different poses.  Several pictures of your pet will help Melanie understand the personality of your pet and how best to capture that image on canvas.  Melanie will work with you to determine the image that will best represent your pet in an oil painting.  The background of your image is also important.  The same background in the picture can be used for the painting, or Melanie can work with you to create a different background that will enhance the image of your pet.

Capture the personality and life of your beloved pet on canvas.  If you are interested in commissioning Melanie for a pet portrait, please contact her through the website.

It's hard to believe that our little Walter is now five months old! He is getting so big and developing really well (at least in our opinion). At his four month check-up, he weighed 15 lbs 12 oz. I'm sure now he is over 16 lbs. He is a happy baby, very vocal and likes a lot of attention (what baby doesn't?).

Life is busy...um, life is crazy busy. Life is good...crazy good! To say that the husband and I are loving life is, well, to be perfectly honest, maybe not the whole truth. Our complete joy and happiness in having our precious little boy is overwhelming. We love being parents, we love looking and playing with Walter. We love how he is starting to smile and become engaged with his world around him.
